Every conversation I have with friends these days seems to end with the statement, “We just don’t know.”
There is uncertainty around every decision at the moment, and all of us are forced to sit and wait. How long will this all last? We just don’t know. When will the world return to normal? We just don’t know. What will the economic repercussions be? We just don’t know. How will we navigate weeks of school closure and not go crazy? We just don’t know.
But one thing we do know, and in this I hope: God is with us. We need little else in the dark uncertainty of night other than the confidence that He is holding us.
In honor of a brave warrior who faced more persecution and danger than you and I likely know, I offer you a prayer from Saint Patrick today.
May the God of peace not only surround and protect you today, but may He also be seen clearly in you. May your words and actions be encompassed in a hope beyond hope and a peace beyond understanding.

Yes! I feel like this is as much a prayer for how I desire Christ’s life to be displayed within me as it is for how I want to sense Him around me.
